So you’re thinking to yourself: Self, I want a t-shirt, roughly based on something pop cultural, most likely taken from popular urban and/or hip-hop culture. Furthermore, I would like that shirt to be a parody of something vulgar in Tagalog. Like, say, a part of the female anatomy.
Today, my friends, is your lucky day. Consider the Pek Pek T-Shirt ($17); Tony Robles is a graphic designer and in his words: “what started as an inside joke to a few friends, became “buzz” worthy for friends outside our circle that wanted to get in on the fun too.” Hence, the iconic Run DMC logo becoming a dirty inside joke. But a dirty inside joke you’re in on, so it’s okay! Go tell your college professor it means “enlightened one.”
